Made (and Laid) in the USA — Now It's Official

For as long as we've been raising and shipping quail hatching eggs and quail products at Undique, we've proudly displayed the American flag on our packaging. It wasn't a marketing gimmick — it was a statement of fact. Every egg we ship was laid here. Every bird was born and raised here. That's just how we operate.

But a flag can only say so much. Starting now, we're taking that commitment one step further.

On March 24, 2026 — National Agriculture Day — the USDA officially launched a national campaign around its new "Product of USA" label standard, which went into effect January 1, 2026. This isn't just a new logo. It's a new legal standard — and one that actually means something.

Under the old rules, a product could carry a "Product of USA" label as long as it was processed in the United States, even if the animals were born and raised overseas. That's a loophole big enough to drive a truck through, and plenty of large producers took advantage of it.

"The new standard reserves the label exclusively for products from animals that were born, raised, harvested, and processed right here in the United States."

At Undique, we clear every single one of those bars. Our Coturnix quail are hatched, raised, and harvested domestically. Our eggs never leave the country before they reach you. Our supply chain is fully traceable and documented — exactly what the USDA's new 24-hour verification requirement demands. With quailos.com we created a platform, which can be used by any farm which keeps a full audit trail, from egg collection, hatching, shipping, NPIP Form 9-3 Filling, all is available and documented at your fingertips.

So when we say our products are American-made, it now comes with the federal stamp to prove it.

This image accompanies now all our product listings/packaging:

"Made or Laid in the USA" our slogan since years,
Now backed by the official USDA Product of USA label — effective with our next packaging run.

We'll be updating our product packaging across both Quailz.com and our Undique registered products to feature the official USDA "Product of USA" label alongside our existing branding. The American flag stays — but now it has a verified partner.

For our customers, this means more than a visual update. It means you can buy from us knowing there's a federal standard behind every label, not just our word.

And for the broader quail and specialty poultry community, we hope this sets a precedent: small domestic producers who do things right deserve recognition, and now there's an official way to show it.

We're proud to be among the first in the specialty quail space to make this transition. If you're a fellow producer wondering whether this label applies to you, the short answer is: if your animals were born, raised, harvested, and processed in the U.S., it probably does — and there's no application fee, just documentation, which you can do starting free on quailos.com and you upgrade as you grow.
